Hi, I'm Erin - an Illustrator, Teacher, Maker, Mama and Wife. 

Since I was a child - I have been fascinated with children's picture books and the art and illustrations that grace their pages. My dream as a child was to become a professional Illustrator and spend my days lost in a magical world of fairy tales and fables. I have a vast collection of old and new books which I have been gathering since I was a teenager. I still dream of one day reading books to my children that I have written and illustrated myself.

After High School I studied a Bachelor of Visual Arts and went on to complete a diploma in Education. I taught Visual Arts and Design for 5 years before starting a family and taking a break from Teaching. It has been during this time at home with my 2 children that my passion for illustration has once again surfaced.

After losing my Mother suddenly to Cancer in 2014, I made a decision to make the steps I needed to make towards my true passion and not waste another minute. Being her youngest of 3 girls, my Ma called often called me 'baby bird'. I began documenting my journey on Instagram and have been overwhelmed by the support and encouragement I have received. I am so overjoyed to know that you love my work. So, to you I say THANKS A BUNCH! xo
